The Medina County Historical Society will hold an Open House, Sunday, November 3rd from 1pm – 4pm at the John Smart House Museum, 206 N. Elmwood, Medina. Our theme this year is the Women’s Suffrage Movement. We will focus on the passing of the 19th Amendment by the U.S. Congress in the year 1920. The passing of this historic Amendment was a direct result of the women’s suffrage movement occurring across America in the early 1900’s. It was only after years of extreme effort that women would have the right to vote on what would happen in their county, state and nation. The Medina County Historical Society will explore the role of prominent women in Medina County. If you have not yet visited us or you are a returning visitor you will not be disappointed! The museum admission is free but donations are always welcomed!
