Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town
Stop by and see Jolly Old Saint Nick at Mapleside Farms (294 Pearl Rd., Brunswick). Families can enjoy a hearty farm-fresh breakfast buffet in their rustic barn overlooking the orchard. Delight in holiday magic as you share your wish list with Santa, make reindeer food, or mail letters at the North Pole Postal Station.
Enjoy a visit with the Man in Red at Boyert’s Greenhouse and Farm every Saturday and Sunday through December 14th. This is a free event, but they are partnering with Cups Café in Medina to help support the incredible work they do for our community. Cups Café provides free, nutritious meals, a safe space, and caring support to those in need. While at Boyers, pick out your Christmas Tree, grab a wreath for your door and pick up any last minute gifts.
If a meeting with Santa isn’t on your wish list, check out Castle Noel (260 S. Court St., Medina) and have breakfast with everyone’s favorite green mischief-maker—the Grinch. Experience a whimsical breakfast spread, holiday crafts, and storytelling inside the magical Starlight Room.
Holiday Fa-La-La-La-Light Displays
Downtown Medina Square (39 Public Square, Medina) sparkles during the holidays, featuring a beautifully lit tree in the center and beautifully decorated shops all around. Similarly, Downtown Wadsworth (102 Main St, Wadsworth) glows with holidays cheer and features Santa at the Gazebo on weekends in December. Stroll in these two charming downtowns for a unique experience with local shopping and plenty of tasty treats.
In Wadsworth, head downtown to the Memorial Park Lightfest (187 Ault St., Wadsworth), a drive-through Christmas tree display open from December 6 to January 2. With more than 100 decorated trees, and a giant Rudolph display, this free attraction glows with holiday magic day or night.
For the hap-hap-happiest display in Medina County, don’t miss the Griswold House (173 Duane Lane, Wadsworth). Modeled after the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation film, it boasts 25,000 twinkling lights, hilarious movie scenes, and even Uncle Eddie’s motorhome.
At another private residence, check out A Licursi Creations Christmas Story (6321 Shadow Creek Dr., Medina), a beloved community display and charity event. The Licursi family transforms their home into a walk-through winter wonderland while raising funds for local families in need.
The Retro Reindeer Pop-Up Bar
A Vintage Christmas Pop-Up Bar is coming to a warehouse near you this December! The Retro Reindeer will be taking over Pickleback’s Bar and Lounge inside The Common Ground starting December 3rd! Enjoy a decked out bar in vintage, christmasy fun while you sip on decadent Holiday themed cocktails and mocktails, enjoy lite bites and take in all things Christmas. Festive attire encouraged, nostalgia guaranteed. Starting December 3rd through the entire holiday season! Reservations coming soon. Walk-ins welcomed!
Festive Brews
Raise a glass and sleigh the season with the finest frosty brews! Start by sipping Winter Mischief from Lager Heads Brewing Company (325 W. Smith Rd., Medina), a cozy spiced ale warmed with cinnamon, ginger, and local honey. Over at Medina Brewing Company (320 S. Court St., Medina), their Christmas MiraCLE features holiday spices that’ll make your taste buds jingle. Ignite Brewing Company (1255 N. Carpenter Rd., Brunswick) invites you to Ignite the Lights with their holiday ale, featuring festive notes of ginger and honey. Toss back a cold one at Blue Heron Brewery (3227 Blue Heron Trace, Medina) with ‘Twas the Heron’s First Christmas, an amber ale brewed with fresh ginger, cinnamon, and a bright pop of orange. The Brew Kettle (5288 Center Rd., Brunswick) serves up its classic Winter Warmer, packed with cinnamon and nutmeg to keep spirits bright. And for a sweet final pour, don’t miss Wadsworth Brewing Company’s (126 Main St., Wadsworth) Fra-Gee-Lay, a whimsical “fruitcake beer” that’s basically Christmas in a glass.
